Below you can find official interesting curiosities related to this model and version. Tab "curiosities" has been additionaly expaned by few segments, thanks to that you can find specific information easier. Additionally, unlike the old site, some curiosities may have pictures showcasing it.

* Curiosities for each models have been written from scratch and there are a lot more of them than on old mods.darewnoo.pl

Below this tab there is another one - a complete work process on this model. This might be actual or archival (depending on information: "Model finished", "Work in progress..."). A table with description of work done was divided into more categories. Thanks to that there is no more chaos like on old, violet mods.darewnoo.pl. Both curiosities and work progress are related to the first model from GTA IV.

Things related to www.mods.darewnoo.pl

• This model was made in complete secret. Nobody would ever expect that model. It was published in November 2015, together with three other bonus Polonez Plus versions (Cargo, Hearse and Armored).

Changes in content of the final folder compared to the previous models

-

Testers and authors of the screenshots

• Both the tester and the author of screenshots is darewnoo. The model was also tested by Zymku.

Things that were planned, but not added

• A characteristic blue ambulance logo should also be placed on the bonnet,

• The car should also have side mesh in the medical compartment, as well as rail under stretcher – this was later added to the official conversion for GTA V,

• The model should have a rear windshield wiper – this was also added to the official GTA V conversion (a modified wiper from Polonez Kombi ’00).

Things never planned, but added

• The falling-off light bar (while crashing into an obstacle at high speed) should initially be immovable.

Random parts

• The model does not have any random parts, although they might appear when you don’t replace lines in vehicles.ide.

Costs

• he model was not co-financed by others. It was fully paid by Zymku.

Mistakes and bugs in model

• The stretcher is replicated like the original one, although it is very detailed.

• A sort of a mistake in this model is that it can be repainted to any colour, although this should be impossible, (since the colour is a white texture) because all Polonez ambulances were white. Fortunately, even when you don’t replace carcols values from the readme, but the car will replace “ambulance”, the car will remain white, since that is the default colour of the GTA IV ambulance.

• The top cargo area is too short – this mistake was fixed in official conversion for GTA V.

Curiosities related to the working progress of the model

• The work on this model took place from May 24 to May 27, 2015.

Information about number plates

KA on the number plate stands for KAretka - polish word for ambulance. 78 is an accidental number.

Base model

• Base for this model was Polonez Cargo.

Differences to other subversion of the simillar model

-

Original dimensions

• The model was based on original dimensions (4616 x 1800* x 1650 mm). * - without the light bar

Parts and textures prepared by darewnoo

• the upholstery, number plate and the clock texture, as well as the other textures made especially for this version: “ambulans” inscription, blue logo, blue stripe and inscriptions on the door as well as fluorescent lamps (not used in GTA IV, but are present in the texture files; they were used in GTA V conversion)

Other curiosities

• It was our second model to be financed by a different person. Both authors (Lazlow555, darewnoo) agreed to make this version based on our earlier models from 2013. Polonez Ambulance was initially never intended to be made, but thanks to Zymku and author’s permission, the model has been made.

• The falling-off stretcher (if proper values are replaced) is intentional (see first pic) planned very early by darewnoo, while the falling-off light bar is Lazlow’s idea.

• Initially, the model should have very detailed medical compartment (side meshes, halogen, fluorescent tubes, buttons), but we later found out that such layout was used in the older ambulances (until 1998). Our model is ’99 version, which had a different interior (see second pic) without those parts (just like in the real car). The proof of that are pictures in the car’s folder. However, all planned parts were later added to the official GTA V conversion.

• The light bar and Zura siren was taken from Polonez Police ’97, while the first part was modified (see third pic).

• If you don’t replace values in vehicles.ide, both stretcher and light bar will not be falling off and they will also appear as a random part.

• Until the final textures were fixed, the upholstery had an incorrect pattern, since this was a standard blue upholstery painted red. After the final textures were corrected, the upholstery got a correct pattern from ’99 versions. The same was with the incorrect colour of the dashboard and the medical compartment – this was also fixed at the end.

• One of the beacons inside the light bar is not working, but this was intentional, or more specifically, required due to technical issues. If all four beacons were working, one of them would lit red (see fourth pic) which not only would not fit to a blue light bar, but would also be incorrect compared to the original.

• It is the second Polonez Plus which features fixed material of the hubcaps – in the earlier versions from 2013, the hubcaps were chrome, while here the hubcaps are matte – just like it should be from the very beginning.

• It is the second Polonez Plus with a corrected mistake from the earlier versions from 2013 – the bar above side windows is now black. Unfortunately, an incorrect mapping of the gear lever (partially fixed by editing the texture) or incorrect connections in the suspension are still errors that hasn’t been fixed.

• The stripes on the rear windshield as well as the black centre of the grille were added in the last moment.

• Most of the time, the car had emblems at the back of the car, but a few days before finishing, they were removed.

• The dimensions of the car are the same as the original.

• Since Polonez Ambulance ’99 is a rare car today, the archive of otomoto.pl was useful in searching the pictures.

• For the purposes of advertisement of this model, darewnoo had made a promotional pic presenting the real ambulance. The picture was made using the photomontage (see fifth pic). The picture was later placed in car’s folder.

• The curiosities for this model were never available on old mods.darewnoo.pl (2012-2016).
